Phinny’s Talent Studio in partnership with Children Living with Cancer Foundation and Lagos State Government presents, COLOURS OF HOPE 2018.
This year is bigger and better and features not just the art exhibition that showcases the children’s artworks but PATCHES THE MUSICAL, a stage production which tells the stories of the children battling cancer.
The event is coming up on the 15th (strictly by invitation) and 16th (Open to the general public) of September, 2018 at the Cinema Hall, National Theatre Iganmu, Lagos.
The Lagos State Government is fully in support of the event.
This one-of-its-kind event is aimed at creating awareness and support for children living with cancer through the arts from young peoples’ perspective.
According to the C.E.O. of Phinny’s Talent Studio, convener of the exhibition and producer of the musical, Miss Josephine Israel, “this event is a dream coming to fulfilment as more people are enlightened and interested in being a part of it; including the Lagos State Government.”
Dr. Nneka Nwobbi, the founder of the Children Living with Cancer Foundation, “this event will really help put the plight of children battling cancer out there. It will make more people know more about the disease and reduce the death rate of children battling cancer”. She said further that the Children Living with Cancer Foundation is clocking 15 this year so this is a great way of celebrating the kids that have survived and memories of those that are no more.
PATCHES THE MUSICAL, the stage production which is directed by Babs Ademoye and handled by JIIMBAY productions, is re-enacting the stories of children that are battling cancer and how it affected their families.
